Bowen Family Foundation, a non-profit 501c3 organization, has recently hired Orbital Lab to rebrand and launch the Foundation’s new website. This announcement came after the Foundation recently decided to revamp its digital footprint.
“The Orbital Lab team was the driving force for our Foundation to enter the modern era with a strong digital footprint,” said Terry Bowen, founder and chairman, Bowen Family Foundation. “The decision to establish the Bowen Family Foundation has been one of the finest decisions we have made in our entire lives. Having our brand and website reflect the excitement we have created sets us up to evolve the storytelling of our talented Bowen Scholars.”
We loved being able to partner and with this caliber of organization. This new brand platform and website will highlight the intelligence and ability of these Bowen Scholars.
Context
A proper education sets people up to grow personally, professionally, and socially. It can awaken joy, curiosity and a deep desire to solve problems and help others. But as we all know, education isn’t free. And for some, the opportunity to get a post high-school degree simply isn’t even an option.
Imperative
It takes long-term thoughtfulness and everyday stability to create a community of equality for students looking to challenge the status quo and trail blaze a new path for themselves and their families.
Credibility
Since Terry and Robert founded the Bowen Foundation in 1994, we’ve learned that the challenge of succeeding through college does not end by providing tuition. By also providing mentorship, tutoring and a sense of community, Bowen Scholars thrive.
Belief
We believe that every traditional and non-traditional student deserves the opportunity to be inspired, to innovate and to further their education, regardless of their social or economic class.
Actions
To enable students who are seeking to achieve a postsecondary education, we are…
- Providing wraparound services inside and outside of the classroom
- Building a platform of resources for students to stay ahead of the game
- Creating a sense of community and inclusion for individuals to advance their future
- Empowering students to believe in themselves
The Foundation was the brainchild of Robert and Terry Bowen in the early 1990s, with a mission to give back and pay it forward, and a purpose to improve the lives of others. Specifically, the focus was to empower underserved populations in Indianapolis, Indiana, by providing scholarships to traditional and non-traditional students, to include older candidates wishing to return to college. The first higher ed partnership was with Ivy Tech of Central Indiana, which marked the beginning of the largest partnership success story to date. Partnerships have grown over time, to include Associate and Bachelor degree programs at: Ivy Tech Terre Haute, Indiana University, Purdue University, Marian University, University of Indianapolis, University of Evansville, and Tuskegee in Alabama, all with similar mentoring programs in place.
